Morbius, the Living Vampire, is getting his own movie and Tom Holland may star in it. Sony has announced that Morbius will be released on April 2022. The film is being described as a “horror action movie” and will focus on the character’s attempt to save his girlfriend from a vampire curse. Holland has not yet been confirmed to star in the film, but it would make sense for him to do so. He is already familiar with the role of Spider-Man and could easily transition into playing Morbius. 

Sony has yet to reveal who will direct the film, but the studio is reportedly leaning towards Jamie Dornan. The actor previously played The Sopranos’ mobster in ’70s action flick The Killing Floor.’

Moreover, this movie has been directed by Daniel Espinosa and Tom Holland plays the role of the main cast.  The latest Marvel character is back with a new series. What happens when a scientist who has fallen in love with someone does an experiment on himself, and changes his whole life? A scientist, Edward Morbius in the future tries to cure his love, his wife. He does this by converting himself into a zombie. The result of this experiment is not what he had expected. He has turned into a Zombie/vampire, and not just any zombie. He is still alive, but he is a vampire. He still has his memories of his life as Edward Morbius, but the rest of him is changed.

He tries to feed on his wife, but something happens which actually saves his wife’s life. He feels that she must be saved by any means necessary, in hopes that all of this might end before it starts.

What inspired you to write the Morbius series of books?

The series is inspired by the Marvel comic book character, Dr. Michael Morbius. This character was a scientist who wanted to cure himself of a blood disease and ended up turning himself into a vampire instead. I liked the idea of taking this character and exploring him in his own book series.

Did the Morbius series take you long to write? Did you face any problems while writing it?

The books took me roughly two years to write. I did not really face any major problems while writing these books. The only issue that I had to deal with was how to end each book in a way that did not leave readers hanging. This is important because as a writer, you want readers to be able to continue reading your books without having to wait for the next installment of a series.

Are there any plans for a movie or TV adaptation of the Morbius series in the future?

I would love to see a movie adaptation of my books. I think that they would make an amazing movie. There are currently no plans for a Morbius film at the moment, but you never know. Anything is possible!. I do have ideas for other stories that take place in this world. However, before I write another book, I plan on taking some time off to enjoy what my success has brought me and my family.

Do you have any advice for aspiring writers out there who are looking?

The most important advice that I can give to aspiring writers is to never give up. Even if this means that you have to change a few things, or even a lot of things, about your story. This is because some stories that you come up with will not be the best at first, but they will get better with time.

What has been the most rewarding part of being an author for you?

The most rewarding part about being an author for me has been when I received my very first book review. This review was from a student from my former school who had learned about my books and decided to do some research on me.  To think that my story was so incredibly influential to someone who is still so young has been incredibly gratifying. The Blood Curse is the first book in a Morbius series that focuses on, Dr. Michael Morbius, as he is trying to cure his own blood disease while also trying to find a cure for vampires.

Where do you see yourself and your writing career in five years’ time?

I see myself as a writer who is well known throughout the world. I would love to have my name in the same sentence as Stephen King and Dean Koontz, if they happen to still be writing books in 2022.
