The Mythic Quest series is an HBO dark fantasy series that is being filmed in Salta, Argentina. The show is based on the book “The Hobbit” by J.R.R. Tolkien and the “Harry Potter” series by J.K Rowling, but instead of portraying characters from these books as they are depicted in their respective novels and films, this production focuses on their “real” selves with different identities altogether. The story takes place in a magical universe called Mythica, where humans live in four different kingdoms that are ruled by legendary queens. The rulers of these kingdoms are chosen by ancient books that tell of the destiny of their respective kingdoms. Once the first queen completes her quest and gives birth to the heir of her kingdom, a new queen is selected with a new quest to complete. Each chapter begins with an epigraph from one of these ancient books that foreshadows what will happen to the realm over which they reign.
This series will be released on 11 November 2022. All episodes are being filmed at different locations across Argentina. Problems regarding the cast and the right production company that’s willing to finance it has made this project suffer a significant setback.

Sofia Vergara will be playing the role of Princess Sofia, who is a little bit pampered and not very serious about her quest. She has been named as heir by her mother and this makes her even more reluctant to take up that responsibility. But soon, she will have to take up that responsibility when she learns that the book of destiny has foretold that there will be a man in her life with whom only she can save the world from destruction. The one giving her instructions on how to prepare for this task is a frozen old man called Merdin (Joe Manganiello).
