Nancy Drew is a mystery drama series that has been airing on the network since October of 2019. The show follows an independent, intelligent, and determined 17-year-old girl who solves crimes as she juggles life as a high school student in River Heights with her best friends George and Bess. The third season of the show will be released sometime this year. So far, there have been no announcements about which day or month it will air or what time slot it will take up on television.
ABOUT NANCY DREW:
Nancy Drew is a fictional character who was created by American author Edward Stratemeyer. The books are written at a middle school reading level and revolve around the adventures of 18-year-old Nancy, an amateur sleuth in River Heights, her father Carson (the police chief), as well as her best friends George and Bess.
In the TV series, Nancy Drew is a high school senior without any interest in romance. She spends her time solving mysteries around town with her friends Bess and George – two girls from very different backgrounds who become best friends while helping out at their family-owned vintage clothing store.
RELEASE DATE:
The release date for the third season of NANCY DREW has not been announced yet, but it is expected to be on screens in late 2022 or early 2023.
THE PRODUCTION:
Season three is set for production very shortly, but it looks like things are being pushed back by at least two weeks before filming can begin. All of the necessary actors have been contracted for this season, but it’s unclear as to whether or not they’ve all arrived in Vancouver just yet. They’re expected to start filming very soon and should be wrapped up by late November or early December at the latest!
REVENUE:
The revenue for the third season of NANCY DREW is expected to be much higher than the previous two seasons because many more people know about it. The first two seasons were mostly just known by die-hard fans, but now that there’s a popular TV show based on the character (called “CAMPFIRE GIRL” on Netflix), the viewership has increased dramatically.
RENEWAL STATUS:
Netflix has not yet announced whether or not NANCY DREW SEASON THREE is going to get another season, but it doesn’t seem like it’s in danger of being canceled at this point. If the viewership continues to increase as expected (with the release of Season Three), then there’s a good chance that the show will be renewed.
THE STARRING CAST:
- The series stars Kennedy McMann as Nancy Drew,
- Leah Lewis as Bess Marvin, and
- Maddison Jaizani (who plays a British-Egyptian character) as George Fayne.
- It also features Alex Saxon, who plays Ned “Nick” Nickerson, the boyfriend of one of our heroines in this adventure.
THE PLOT:
It’s a classic Nancy Drew case. A young woman is found dead, and the people around her are all suspects – including her own family members! It appears to be an accident, but there’s more going on than meets the eye. Soon enough, it becomes clear that this was no ordinary death. Her former boyfriend has gone missing and there’s evidence of a cover-up. As Nancy digs deeper into the case, she realizes that this has to do with more than just her friend and soon finds herself in danger as well.
RATINGS:
Netflix has not yet released any rating information for NANCY DREW SEASON THREE, but it would likely get similar viewership numbers as previous seasons since they’re releasing all at once.
REVIEWS:
The reviews for NANCY DREW SEASON THREE are very positive so far! Only a few episodes have come out, but it looks like everything is going smoothly and there haven’t been any major issues that need to be addressed in order to improve upon Season Two.
EXPECTATIONS:
It’s probably safe to say that most people who are interested in watching NANCY DREW will be waiting for the third season, so there aren’t too many expectations at this point. If they’re able to keep up with how well Season Two ended (with a cliffhanger), then the show will probably continue to be popular.
