In order to keep production going during shutdown due to coronavirus, Brie took on more episodes than her other castmates but still only acted like she was filming scenes designated by glow’s creators ahead of time because they were not allowed to film anything new. The glow season three finale left the series open for a fourth season where we would see Ruth’s daughter Sammie with both Debbie and Liberty on her doorstep, ready to take over as mother figures in her life.

Glow stars Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin, and Marc Maron as regular cast members during its first two seasons before the latter left the main cast after filming scenes that were scripted to be done during production shutdown last year because of the Coronavirus outbreak which eventually led to the cancellation by Netflix this week when it was announced glow would no longer produce new episodes due to low viewership numbers on their platform.

In August 2019 Netflix decided not to renew glow for a fourth season despite its rating success causing it to be one of their most viewed shows alongside House of Cards and Stranger Things. A month later, it was announced that glow wouldn’t return at all after being cancelled by Netflix following low viewership numbers in December 2018 while also cancelling other popular programmes such as Designated Survivor and American Vandal which were then added back once they had been renewed giving them another chance.”
