At Comic-Con International 2015, it was announced that Paranormal Activity: A New Dimension would be released on October 22nd, 2016 to commemorate the series’ tenth anniversary. It had Katie Featherston returning for her third appearance in the series. Cierra Ramirez will also return for her second outing as well as Micah Sloat.
She, who has starred in all five films to date, and production began on October 15th, 2015 with filming taking place at a house located near Riverside, California. It was being rented out by two filmmakers looking to create their own horror film.
The first film was released in 2007 and grossed over $193 million worldwide on just an estimated budget of $15,000! Critics were not kind to the original movie but audiences loved it so much that four sequels were made. The most recent installment, Paranormal Activity: Ghost Dimension was released in 2015. It grossed over $101 million worldwide with a budget of just $15 million!
EXPECTATIONS OF THE PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 7:
Expectations are high for this go around as they will introduce new technology. It is not seen in previous films which could make it even creepier than those before. This time around there will be a major shake-up in the cast. With “Frozen” actor Josh Gad taking on one of the lead roles and Kathryn Newton from HBO’s Big Little Lies set to star.
