The series was conceived by Steven Knight, who had just written the screenplay for a movie called “Locke”. This movie had been a great success, and the scriptwriter was tempted by the possibilities of creating a new television series on this basis.

Are there any plans for a movie or another season, and if so, what can fans expect?
Well, there have been some rumors that the experience of creating a television series has given Steven Knight the idea to continue directing his projects.
Nevertheless, he seems to be currently involved in a work that is not focused on the production of a new series. This is the book “Peaky Blinders: The Official Story”, which Knight wrote describing the background of his creation.
The idea for this book arose when he was working on the third season, but he had difficulty finding a publisher that would take on this project. It took several years before Knight put the idea into action and published it himself.
