Power Rangers: David Frank Dead By Suicide at 49

The Power Rangers series has had a long-lasting impact on many children over the last 25 years. David Frank, who played the original Black Power Ranger in 1993’s Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers, died by suicide on March 7th at age 49. Frank’s death brings up an important discussion of mental health and depression. There are many resources to seek help if needed! Whether it’s talking to loved ones and close friends or looking into therapists and counselors, there is always something out there to get better.

The thing about mental health and depression is that they can hit anyone at any age. Suicide is a real issue and it shouldn’t be ignored by families and friends. If someone close to you is struggling, reach out to them. Hearing they’re having a rough time could be a sign they need help. My condolences go to David’s loved ones! I hope he’s at peace now, looked after by his sister in spirit as well as his family, friends, and fans around the world.
