The popular Battle Royale game, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is getting an animated series by Castlevania producer Adi Shankar. The news was announced in a press release from Krafton stating one of the most innovative content creators in Hollywood today and a geek culture visionary. Players Unknown Battleground is a multiplayer action game with the last person standing as the winner. Initially, it was just a mod for Arma II and DayZ games but later on became an independent project with its own development team. The game can be played in either single-player mode or multiplayer mode.
The gameplay includes fighting against other players who are also playing the same level of the game to get out of the play zone. There are different rules for games depending on the options selected before playing such as game mode, map selection, and weather conditions.
This video game aims to kill all other players by any means possible to be victorious at the end of a match. The last man standing will be declared the winner while everyone else dies or gets killed during gameplay.
In-game actions include looting weapons from dead opponents, using vehicles like cars and tanks (when available), aiming accurately with some weapons that have scopes attached, throwing grenades, shooting others either with pistols or rifles, and so forth. Players can also loot clothing articles and exchange them for new ones which help enhance their abilities in-game.
Producer Adi Shankar brings PUBG animated series on Netflix
Netflix is home to some of the best-animated series in the world. With titles like Castlevania and Neo Yokio, it’s no wonder that Netflix continues to grow as a streaming platform for all things entertainment.
Recently, they announced an upcoming PUBG Animated Series by producer Adi Shankar who has been working on Castlevania with them since 2017. The announcement came from Krafton which also revealed how Shankar’s credits include other projects such as Assassin’s Creed Origins TV show (2017), Gods & Heroes (2018).
The announcement has already created a stir among fans of the game as well as anime in general. The animated series will be all about PUBG and Shankar is going to ‘bring out their most inner ilities in-game’ with the help of some very talented voice actors which include Scott Adkins, Tara Sands, Anna Vocino, and more. All episodes are set to land on Netflix later this year after being released separately on YouTube first for people who want early access before it becomes available worldwide.
