Sonic the Hedgehog 2: Nabs Boffo $27 Million Friday But Ambulance Crashes

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was the big winner at the box office this past weekend, raking in an impressive $27 million! However, there was a bit of a dark cloud hanging over the release party. An ambulance crashed into Sonic’s promotional truck just outside of the theater, injuring several people. 

Two men in their 40’s & one woman were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the ambulance was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence, but no charges have been filed yet.  The accident presumably caused a few people to stay home from the midnight release and several theaters had to cancel showings of the film due to lack of ticket sales. Hopefully things will cool down this week, because it looks like people around here are going a little crazy over it.

I believe that Sonic the hedgehog 2 series was the best Sonic film ever made. It shows that Sonic can have a big impact on Hollywood and it can be a real star just like Mario. I’m sure we will remember this film for years to come. Also I think that the series will be released again with a new cast. This movie deserves more attention and love from his fans, because it is better than all other movies in the franchise. The only reason why it is not as popular as “Sonic The Hedgehog” is probably because they are both released in the same year.
