Netflix has just released the first look photos for Stranger Things Season 4 and it looks like things are going to get Stranger than ever! The new season is set to take place in the summer of 1985 and will follow the characters as they continue to navigate life after the events of Season 3.
In the new photos, we see Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Steve (Joe Keery), and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) head to the mall with Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder). Meanwhile, Hopper (David Harbour) and Dr. Owens (Paul Reiser) are seen walking together while Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) is seen wearing his iconic Christmas sweater.

In the run-up to the final showdown with Mind Flayer, the friends and family of Hawkins have to find a way to defeat him before he can destroy their world forever. Mike, Eleven, Lucas, Max and the rest of pals are back in action and we are excited to see how they will be able to deal with evil Mind Flayer. The new season will include many new characters in it. The main characters that will be featured in this are Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer), Jonathan Byers (Charlie Heaton), Barbara Holland (Shannon Purser), Billy Hargrove (Dacre Montgomery) and Matthew Modine as Dr. Owens.

What can we expect from Stranger Things Season 4?
We can expect that the new season of Stranger Things will be completely different from the previous seasons. In Season 3, the viewers saw many characters getting their own stories like Nancy Wheeler and her mother getting trapped into hospital and it looked like she was about to die for certain.Meanwhile Steve Harrington got a new love interest in his life who also happens to be a fugitive from FBI and also suffers from amnesia due to which he cannot remember anything about his past.
We can expect that Stranger Things Season 4 will have 11 episodes altogether, but Netflix has not officially confirmed this amount yet. Besides that, we can expect that season 4 will not have any Christmas special as it was in previous seasons.
Will the show continue to be set in Hawkins, Indiana, or will it branch out?
The new season will be set in the summer of 1985, so it will be an entirely new setting, leaving the town of Hawkins. To be honest, we don’t know how it will be possible to change the location of this series so quickly because the characters are nowhere near being old enough to have lived in the 1980s.

All the main cast members are returning to play the same roles as before. So we will see all of them again. As mentioned above, actor Natalia Dyer (Nancy Wheeler) will return to her role in this series along with Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers and Joe Keery again to reprise his role as Steve Harrington.

Is Stranger Things Season 4 the final season?
It is not confirmed yet whether this is the last season or not, but the creators have said that they have a plan to keep this show running for a fifth season as well. But don’t worry, even if it will be the final season there are enough mysteries to unravel that we can definitely see some more seasons of Stranger Things. It will be completely different because the season will be set in the summer of 1985 and that means that there is no way it can keep up with all the drama, partying and action of the first three seasons. So we can expect that this season will mostly focus on “the little things” like friendship and family bonding.
