What is the premise of the series?

Mossad agent Tamar Rabinyan, a Jewish woman, born in Iran but raised in Israel, is on an undercover mission in Tehran to disable a nuclear reactor as a Mossad agent. Upon arriving in Iran, she disguises herself as Zhila Gorbanifar, an Iranian employee of the local electric company, to bomb a nuclear plant and prevent Iran from obtaining an atomic bomb. At Zhila’s place, she logs into a computer network at the electric company station.

Later, she attempts to cut the power to Iran’s radar system in advance of a future Israeli attack. Her boss tries to rape her, believing she is Zhila and was killed in the ensuing fight. Tamar hides after escaping. As an Iranian born and raised in Israel, Tamar discovers her local roots, makes friends with pro-democracy activists, and visits her aunt. She is also being pursued by the Revolutionary Guards’ director of investigations, Faraz Kamali.

Is the Tehran series worth watching?

The spy drama TV serial has an interesting plot, and there are several twists and turns that keep you hooked for sure. The twist at the end of episode three was something that would have kept fans on their toes till the last few episodes, where everything fell into place neatly, making it a perfect watch for all thriller lovers out there! It’s certainly not bad but just doesn’t come up to our expectations.
