The Terrifier 2 series was revealed today on the internet, with a 42-minute graphic, a trailer, and even a poster. The Terrifier 3 will start production sometime in 2021, according to Steve Hoban of the Steve Hoban Film Company. The project will kick off production with an Indiegogo campaign that should hit around $250K and then spend two years being produced. After all, that time put into making this movie, it has now come out that the release date was intentionally false — the studio made Terrifier 2 to cash in on interest and add more hype for when they release the third installment. The studio knew it was going to be a long time coming and decided to get in on the action, with Hoban eventually revealing that the film would come out twelve years after the first film, which was released in 2008 so Terrifier 2 would be released in 2021.
The studio has also revealed the involvement of Art The Clown, who acted as one of the leads in Terrifier and will now return for Terrifier 3. So will we eventually get a movie featuring Art The Clown as Jonny Grimm? Well, maybe not. Hoban’s original idea behind making Terrifier 1 was to make Art The Clown star in that sequel and he planned on having the clown star in all three films.
