The “Gen V” trailer has been creating a lot of buzzes. It was released last month and people are already excited about it. The series will expand the universe of the shocking but beloved superhero series, chronicling the adventures of young superheroes in college. The streaming service home to both “The Boys” and “Gen V” just provided a new update. “Gen V” is not the only thing that has been created. Another project is also on the way. This time the series will be for adults, and there will be no superhero element in it whatsoever. 

Will the show portray dark themes?

“The Boys” is a violent series that has been criticized for its violence, gore, and profanity. Ennis’ new show will be similar because it will be adapted from his comic book series. What is “Gen V” about?

According to the official synopsis, “Gen V”  is about five guys who are in college. The guys fight for justice and good causes. They also happen to be the next generation of superheroes. The story is centered on a superhero named Connor, who is a telekinetic and a former child prodigy. He is trying to find his place in the world with his buddies, who are all gamers or geeks of their kind. The series is about the friendship that these guys have for each other. The boys, who are all good-hearted, try to fight the good fight and do their best to help people who are weaker than them. They want to be superheroes just like they wish they could while playing video games.

What is “The Boys” about?

The Boys is an American comic book series created by Garth Ennis. The series follows the adventures of the superheroes, The Boys, and their allies. Ennis’ comic strip, is a zombie-apocalypse set in the Marvel Universe. The Boys features characters from several fictional universes, Earth-616, Earth-1620, and Hell within the Marvel Multiverse and its associated fictional companies, none of which are ever seen. Later, these were joined by a superhero team, The Seven, and an eighth issue entitled “Our World” was published in which the Boys are at last destroyed. The series also plays around sexuality, power, and celebrity.

Garth Ennis is a writer, artist, and podcaster. He was born in Northern Ireland on October 22, 1963. He started his career by working for British comic magazines such as 2000 AD, The Eagle, and Whizzer & Chips. Since then, he’s worked on several comic series including “Hellblazer” and “Preacher”. His work is known to explore controversial topics — including homosexuality and drugs — while remaining funny at the same time.

Release date of the series
