Expectations:
It’s early days yet but so far The Conners is looking good and should easily win its timeslot. ABC had already ordered a full season of the new series, even before it premiered on Tuesday night. That means we might get to see 13 episodes of this Roseanne-less family sitcom instead of just nine. It’s hard to imagine The Conners getting much worse than Roseanne, but it will be interesting to see if the spin-off can keep up this momentum.
