“Yellowstone” season 5 creator shares a disappointing update. Paramount TV series Yellowstone has been very popular among fans, ranking the show as one of the top-ten streamed shows on Netflix. The first seven episodes of season five have aired on Paramount +, and following a short break for the holidays, episode eight will air on January 1. But after that, who knows when the show will return? Series creator Taylor Sheridan doesn’t give much hope to those waiting for more episodes to stream.
“Right now, I’m writing season four and there’s a lot of confusion about where the show is going,” Sheridan told in an interview. “It’s disappointing, but it works because the studio has an idea of where the show is headed, and then I have to work within that ceiling.” He adds that he’s confident in his script for episode eight and hopes to write more episodes.
The series revolves around the Dutton family, a powerful clan who rule over the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States, and are one of the most successful families in modern-day Wyoming. The show stars Kevin Costner as John Dutton, the head of the family who is dealing with a great number of issues. His son, Evan, is married to Emma, whose brother-in-law, Joe Stone, is also one of Dutton’s employees. Their relationship has been put to the test due to her husband’s job, and Emma finds herself being blackmailed by Joe Stone. The other main character is Yellowstone Wildland Fire Chief David Hale.
“Yellowstone” TV series is drama series based in the early 20th century. In the 1920s, half of the large ranches in America had already been torn down by banks. The Dutton family is one of the ranches that survived this time. The real John Dutton was a legendary cattleman who started his career by working as the head of a cowboy gang at 10 years old, and at 15, he became a rider for one of the largest cattle companies in Wyoming. He kept operating in the cattle business until he was in his 60s.
The season five story begins in the summer, and the Dutton family is preparing for their annual cattle drive to Montana. They are one of the largest cattle companies in the United States. The family obtained title to vast areas of land as a result of John Dutton’s tenacity and hard work, as well as his famous talent for gambling. But that doesn’t mean they have no resistance to being torn down by banks – they are preventing them from doing so through their money and political connections.
“Yellowstone” season 5 episode eight will be released on January 1, Wednesday. Fans can expect the remaining season five episodes to air on Paramount + in the coming weeks. The reason Sheridan decided to release episode 8 just before the holidays is because, in his words, “that gives me time to write more episodes.”
Moonlighting director and TV series producer Taylor Sheridan shared his thoughts about the “Yellowstone” season 5 release date of episode 8, and his honest opinion is that studios would love to release new episodes all at once, but it is just not possible to do so.
