The Dark Tower tells the story of Roland Deschain, a Gunslinger searching for The Dark Tower – a mythical structure that serves as the nexus of all universes.
This was no easy task, and Winnick reflects on just how challenging it was to make this film: “It was definitely one of the most physically and emotionally demanding roles I have ever played.” When she was offered the role of Susannah Dean, Winnick knew that this project would be nothing like she had ever done before. She recalls: “I was hesitant at first because I knew it would be a challenge and it would not be your typical role.”
