More about Death’s life is revealed in season one of “The Sandman” deleted scenes. “The Sandman” is a fantasy drama series that debuted exclusively on Netflix in August and is based on Neil Gaiman’s comic book series of the same name. After escaping a century-long incarceration, the series follows Tom Sturridge’s character Morpheus, the King of Dreams. In the first three days of its debut, 69.5 million hours of The Sandman were seen on Netflix. It received positive reviews from critics. High praise and fervent fan demand led to the series’ renewal for a second season in November. Season 2’s debut date has yet to be set.

What is in the deleted scene?

Death’s life is discussed in more detail in a recently released scene from “The Sandman” season 1, episode 6, “The Sound of Her Wings,” which was posted by Netflix. A Dream is seen asking Death why people are so afraid of her gift as they stroll down a city street. Death responds by recalling a time when a human asked her, “How would you like it?” This causes Death to rethink how humanity views her. Death intends to become a human for a day and then pass away to experience death personally.

Background of the series

Beginning in 1991 attempts to adapt “The Sandman” for the big screen were doomed to failure for a considerable amount of time. In 2013, Goyer approached Warner Bros. with a proposal for a television series film. Along with acting and maybe directing, Joseph Gordon-Levitt was also expected to co-produce with Goyer and Gaiman. However, Gordon-Levitt exited the film in 2016 as a result of creative differences. Warner Bros. focused on television instead of the movie because it took so long to make. After reaching an agreement in June 2019, Netflix produced the show, which was filmed from October 2020 to August 2021.

What about season 2 of “The Sandman”?

Although there is no concrete information on the next phase of The Sandman’s plot, Gaiman did reassure fans that the show remained secure despite the rumored Warner Bros./Netflix dispute. Executive producer David S. Goyer indicated that writing has been going on since July, but casting and production have not yet started. The Sandman’s upcoming episodes should be just as well-received as season 1 because there are so many comic book storylines to explore and a variety of intriguing characters to draw from.
