The new image from “Evil Dead Rise” was revealed by Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema. Director Lee Cronin provided some details on how the next movie ties into the Sam Raimi universe alongside the third image showcasing the newest entry in the Evil Dead series. The latest image for “Evil Dead Rise” shows a woman rising from a lake, droplets falling off her shape as she hovers just over the water’s surface. During his chat with Total Film, Cronin also provided a sneak preview of the upcoming fifth installment of the Evil Dead series. “Evil Dead Rise” is a project from producers Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell, and Robert Tapert. Campbell claims that the three have been “highly active” in the project from the beginning to the end.
Four full-length films and a television series make up Sam Raimi’s American horror film franchise, “Evil Dead”. The Necronomicon Ex-Mortis is an ancient Sumerian manuscript that causes chaos for a group of cabin occupants in a Tennessee wooded area. In 2013, Fede lvarez’s “Evil Dead”, which served as both a reboot and a loose continuation of the series, brought the franchise back to life. He also co-wrote the screenplay with Rodo Sayagues. Raimi, Campbell, and Tapert produced it. “Ash vs. Evil Dead” was a cable network Starz television series that debuted in 2015, ran for three seasons, and ended in 2018. The show’s creator, Bruce Campbell, announced that an animated resurrection would begin production in July 2022.
Bruce Campbell, who worked closely with Raimi and Robert Tapert as a producer on “Evil Dead Rise”, will not be reprising the iconic role of Ash Williams. In addition to leaving Ash behind, the future movie will have all-new cast members and a fresh storyline. Although the upcoming “Evil Dead” movie lacks several essential components from earlier films, Cronin reassured fans that the movie will still connect to earlier works while expanding on the enduring “Evil Dead” universe that Raimi introduced in his 1981 horror blockbuster “The Evil Dead”
“Evil Dead Rise” previewed the repercussions on the family who found the fabled Necronomicon and showed the horrors of the “Evil Dead” in a new setting at a high rise in Los Angeles. The movie will be released in theaters on April 21, 2023
