The Orville series is coming to Disney+! It is the story of Seth and Kelly Grayson, who find themselves in a new life as captains of Earth’s first interstellar exploration vessel, The Orville. For so long mankind has searched for knowledge about other planets and species in their own galaxy. But now humankind’s greatest engineers have set out to chart uncharted territory – our very solar system’s final frontier: the fearfully unknown expanse beyond our orbit of star-system Epsilon 3. The mission will begin with the discovery of a new world, and navigate the crew through an uncharted wormhole; first contact with a species beyond our understanding; space battles with enemies intent on destroying us outright; and finally, most terrifyingly, an attempt to discover what humanity truly is.

What can we expect from the Orville series?

We can expect it will be a great series because the director and writer of this series are talented. But there is no news of the genre, takers, yet. And from my point of view, I can say that it could be a unique series because there is no other science fiction or full-length drama like the Orville series.

Who are the directors favorite characters and why?

The favorite characters of the director of this series are Kelly Grayson, Ed Mercer and Alara Kitan. “I’m much more drawn to the stories about people, or about how we interact with other people, than I am to the characters themselves,” says MacFarlane. “So there are a few episodes where I really wanted it to be Kelly’s story and there were also a few that I really wanted it to be Alara’s story.”

What have you heard about the Orville series?

I heard that this series was made by many fans of science fiction, who were tired with one-sided stories and events, bad heroes and villains. The fans were tired of the artificial and exaggerated special effects, which are not suitable for the real world. This series is completely different from other science fiction series. It is more realistic, it’s about how we deal with other people and animals in this world. This can help us to become better people!

What themes does the Orville series explore?

The themes explored in the Orville series are: a story about what we can learn from each other, and how much we have changed over time. The main theme of the series is how to live together in this world. It’s not like any other science fiction series that I’ve ever seen. I think it’s a great idea to have another good series after Futurama ended, and I look forward to returning to the adventures of Ed Mercer.

What kind of audience will enjoy the Orville series?

I think everyone will be able to enjoy this great series! Maybe you do not like science fiction, but maybe you love it. And maybe you do not want science fiction about the future, but The Orville is different. The action takes place in the future, but the plot is similar to any other drama series.
