The Real Housewives of New Jersey is an American reality television series. It was broadcast on Bravo from May 12, 2008, until October 4, 2018, and follows the lives of six women living in affluent areas near Newark, New Jersey. The show has been renewed for season 12 by Bravo TV which will be aired in 2022. Season 11 ended with Teresa Giudice being released from prison after serving 11 months for fraud charges.

They’re all dealing with the recent elections, and some are trying to lose weight in this season that’s been filled with struggles. Season 12 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey is a return to form for the series.
RELEASE DATE:
Filming started in September 2017 and ended in June 2018. Production has been completed for Season 12.  Filming for season 12 began in September 2017 and wrapped up at the end of October, it was reportedly a three-month process which is a lot shorter than years past. It is set to release in 2022.
THE PLOT:
The show follows six women who live in affluent areas near Newark, New Jersey. The plot revolves around the trials and tribulations of Teresa Giudice and her family as they balance their personal life along with enduring the hardships associated with Teresa’s imprisonment including financial constraints to parent their children without her physical presence.
Her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga also continues to balance her personal and professional life along with the adjustment to being a single mother. Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe were sentenced in 2014 for mail, wire, and bankruptcy fraud. They both serve their sentence at Danbury FCI which has been documented on the show since the beginning.
THE STARRING CAST: NEW AND RETURNING MEMBERS:
Besides Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga, they are Kathy Wakile, Jacqueline Laurita, Margaret Josephs, and Dolores Catania.
- Teresa Giudice, Jacqueline Laurita, and Danielle Staub are all returning for the new series with unknown details about what may happen to them during filming or how their lives will change without Joe in it. The show has seen its fair share of ups and downs over the past seasons but this one will be the most trying on all of them.
- Dina Manzo and Siggy Flicker will not return for season 12 with Melissa Gorga, Dolores Catania, Margaret Josephs as returning housewives. Caroline Manzo is also set to make a guest appearance a few episodes later this year but her return has not been confirmed.
- Siggy Flicker said she is leaving the show to explore other opportunities and so that her family can enjoy some privacy without being on TV every week, but in a recent interview with Us Weekly, Melissa Gorga revealed that Flicker was fired from RHONJ by producers because they thought she was a “train wreck.”
- Dolores Catania, Melissa Gorga, Margaret Josephs. Caroline Manzo will make guest appearances later this year but has not confirmed her return to the show full-time.
EXPECTATIONS:
There have been no major storylines in season 11 and there does not seem to be anything interesting happening in season 12. Housewives fans are eager to see what happens with the Giudices during and after their sentence as well as any drama that arises from season 12 filming. Fans also anticipate seeing how the show changes without Joe Giudice on the show. the series will have more drama than in previous seasons
PRODUCTION REVIEWS:
Season 11 of RHONJ was very uneventful and did not have a clear storyline. The cast members are looking for more drama and some believe that they’re not getting paid enough to have their lives put on display.
TEASER TRAILERS PLOT SUMMARY:
The trailer for season 12 opens with a question on how all the ladies have been. The preview shows Jacqueline Laurita, Melissa Gorga, and Margaret Josephs with happy faces as they enjoy their time outside with friends while Teresa Giudice is seen walking in handcuffs until she’s escorted into the jail cell behind them.
