It’s been a long time since Inuyasha aired in 2000, but Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon is set to release on April 1st. Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon is the sequel to the original anime series that aired from 2000 – 2004. The story follows Yashahime after she becomes an adult and continues her journey with her friends as they fight demons and search for Yashahime’s father.
Season 2 of Yashahime is set to release anytime soon with an assortment of new and returning characters. Four main characters will be introduced for season two, Yoshino (the princess), Yajiri (Yashahime’s best friend from childhood), Sesshoumaru (a powerful demon prince), and Iz Umi (a Yashahime’s guard).
Season 2 will primarily focus on Yajiri and Yashime, but the other characters will still be present to complicate the plot. The season release date is not yet set in stone, with a tentative date of Spring 2020.
Season 1 Recap of “Yashahime: Princess Half Demon”
Yashahime: Princess Half Demon is a direct sequel to the popular Inuyasha anime series that aired from 2000 – 2004. Yashahime’s story, however, does not follow the manga adaption of Inuyasha. The season release date for Yashimei Season Two has not yet been set but will most likely air in Spring 2020 with four new characters and an assortment of old ones returning too.
The season 2 trailer dropped, which revealed some interesting information about Yajiri (the princess), who was first introduced as Yashime’s best friend during childhood days in episode one while she also met Iz Umi at her father’s funeral ceremony when they were five years old.
Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon is a sequel to the long-running and beloved anime series Inuyasha. Yashahime features many characters from the said show, including Yashime’s father (who was not in season one), Yoshino, who Yajiri falls for, Izumi, the guard that is protecting her against Sesshoumaru’s wraths, and Yajiri herself.
The first season of Yashimei begins with Yajiri as an adult who has been living away from home since she left right after high school graduation due to being bullied by girls at her school. She then returns home after hearing about Yashime’s disappearance but gets attacked by demons on the way there, which lands them both in Yajari’s mother Yashimei’s castle.
She later learns that Yoshino is a long-time friend of Yashime and the two quickly become friends themselves, much to Izumi’s dismay as he has his own feelings for Tajiri.
Tajiri can see demons because she inherited her father Sesshoumaru bloodline from Inuyasha, which makes it difficult for others to accept her on top of already being bullied by other girls in school, but Yajirosa helps her cope with this power while also protecting Yanirosa himself from another demon who wants revenge against him.
Plot Summary of “Yashahime Princess: Half Demon”
‘Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon’ anime is set 6 months after the events of ‘InuYasha: The Final Act.’ Sesshomaru and Rin’s twin daughters, Towa and Setsuna, live happily in Feudal Japan. One day, a forest fire separates the two. The four years old Towa was transported to modern-day Japan through a portal. There, she was adopted and raised by Kagome Higurashi’s younger brother, Sota.
The older Setsuna remained in Feudal Japan and became Yajirosa’s apprentice. Yashahime is the story of Yajirosa’s search for Towa while he also tries to protect himself from another demon who wants revenge against him. Their efforts are complicated by Yanirosa herself as she struggles with the unique power that has led other girls in school to bully her- a power that Yajiroza helps Mina cope with while also protecting Yajaisa himself from another demon who wants revenge against him.
Release Date of “Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon”
The second season of ‘Yashahime’Â will premiere on October 2nd, 2021. The anime will be available for streaming on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Hulu.
