About the author – Ben Macintyre

Ben Macintyre is an author all about adventure, mystery, and history, who also works as a writer for the BBC. He has written other books which are all usually related to Macintyre’s interest in history. In his book “Owen’s War”, he writes about three young British boys who are sent to fight in the Great War in France during World War I. The book is based on Macintyre’s grandfather who was a captain in the British army during World War I. The true story of this series is tough to grasp but with a bit of imagination and connecting the heartbreaking and painful historical events into an exciting modern war drama, “SAS: Rogue Heroes” manages to give us a gripping story.

In the Conclusion

“SAS: Rogue Heroes”  is the best miniseries to date. The first part is good and we know the dark secret about World War II. No other miniseries has brought a story like this, and with the addition of many other interesting stories from World War II, this series will be one of the best. The first two episodes of the first season received excellent reviews from critics and viewers. This is a great start for this series which might not become better than Peaky Blinders, but still could be considered one of the best miniseries ever made.
