The Chapelwaite is a terrifying new American horror series that will premiere on Epix this August. The Chapelwaite is based on the short story “Jerusalem’s Lot,” by Stephen King and is written by Peter and Jason Filardi.
It follows Captain Charles Boone (Adrien Brody) who returns to his hometown of Preacher’s Corners, Maine with his children after his wife tragically dies at sea. All details are yet to be announced about the Chapelwaite but it premieres in 2021!
Captain Charles Boone is totally devastated by his wife’s death at the sea. He with his children return to the small town of Preacher’s Corners, Maine, where a dark family history haunts them until confronted.
This series will premiere on August 22, 2021. All information has not been revealed about the horror movie. The Chapelwaite synopsis hints that we can expect to see a family history haunt Preacher’s Corners when confronted by Captain Charles Boone (Adrien Brody). When looking at all media sources, it appears this upcoming show will be an adaptation of Stephen King’s “Jerusalem’s Lot.” For now, the only certainty is that there will be thirteen episodes in total with premiering on August 22nd.
The story is totally based on “Jerusalem’s Lot.” It is a story about Charles Boone who returns to Preacher’s Corners, Maine with his children following the death of their wife. They quickly find that they are not welcome by most residents and have a dark family history haunting them until confronted. However, it has been confirmed that Chapelwaite is based on Jerusalem’s lot from Stephen King’s novel. Charles will have to single-handedly confront the secrets of his family history.
