Peter Dinklage is one of the most talented and versatile actors in Hollywood today. In the new film “Cyrano,” he brings his trademark charm and humor to the role of a disarming poet. The film is based on the classic play by Edmond Rostand, and tells the story of a man who falls in love with his beautiful neighbor, but is too shy to tell her himself. So he sends her love letters. 

The film is directed by Neil Burger, who also wrote the screenplay. It stars Dinklage (whose credits include “The Station Agent,” “Elf,” and “Alexander”) and Julia Ormond (who has had roles in such films as “Bringing Down the House” and “A Perfect World”). It’s a simple story, but Dinklage makes Cyrano his own.

This series will be released on 25 February 2022. Also the series has 7 seasons.  We went through many auditions, but the casting director was very kind to give us a list of people that he believes could do this part. For me, it was very hard, because I have seen so many of these movies and had heard of Rostand’s Cyrano de Bergerac. We also had to take into consideration our actors’ height as well.

The Cyrano Series is a story of love and courage. In the world of theatre, Cyrano is known as the greatest man in France. His high-flying life is brought crashing down when beautiful Roxane sends him a letter, saying she has fallen in love with someone else. Cyrano longs to find out who her secret admirer really is and sets out on his journey to learn the truth. 

We have to be very brave and use our English skills in front of people if we want them to know that we are better than they are. If we take only our voice or just our face they will see it as an introduction and they might not like us.

What inspired you to write the Cyrano Series?

The series is inspired from the story of Cyrano de Bergerac. Everyone knows that story, do you know? It is an interesting story that I have never seen in any cinema or theater. This series is something like a play and it’s a very interesting idea for me and for the whole team.

What type of character does Peter Dinklage play in the Cyrano Series?

He plays Cyrano, a man who has to bring his poems to reality by getting rid of his shyness. He is a very gifted guy with a positive spirit and more than anything he has faith in himself and his talent as an actor. In other words, he believes that he is a great actor and has no doubt about himself.

Why do you think it’s been so successful with readers around the world?

I think that there are many different reasons why the series has become a success. First of all, I think it is because people are fond of the story and they like the way it has been written by Neil Burger and the brilliant script writer Jane Goldman.

Is there anything you have learned from writing Cyrano?

I’m still learning new things every day because this series is something new for me and very different to everything else I have done so far. It’s also a good thing, as long as you keep learning new things every single day, that your ideas grow, too. This can be a great help for your future career or projects you want to create in your life!

How do you come up with your characters and storylines – any secrets you can share?

I think I am always in search of good ideas, characters, and storylines. I just try to look around every day and see what I can find. All the time I’m watching films and listening to music, reading books and newspapers, and sometimes looking at the sky – to find inspiration for new ideas.

What advice would you give someone wanting to write a book or become a writer?

I would advise all the young people who want to write books or become authors to not do it just for the sake of it. Don’t think that you have something special or unique about you! You may have your own style of writing that other people might like as well. But you need to think of something that no one else has thought of before.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of social media for writers?

I think that using social media is a great idea when it comes to promoting your books and related activities, especially if you want to be very well-known or famous. People also find out about new things very quickly because they are connected with each other nowadays – through Facebook and Twitter, etc.
