We are so excited to announce that Kari Skogland (a Director known for her work on Boardwalk Empire, The Handmaid’s Tale) will be the one handling the sequel. The sequel is going to be titled Wind River:The Last Hunt. The announcement was followed by a series of tweets from the official makers of the movie who announced that they are working on all things Wind River. The tweet reads, We are excited to announce that Kari Skogland will be directing the second installment in the Wind River film series. Kari has a unique ability to weave together many different elements at once and create an experience as rich and compelling as any film narrative.Â

The favorite character of the director is Sarah (Elizabeth Olsen) as she has a new way of looking at things. The characters are discovering their feelings as they go along rather than writing them all out in the first place. The relationships that form between Cory and Sarah, Cory and Perna, and Cory and Ben are absolutely incredible to watch.
