The Witcher: Blood Origin is a miniseries created by Declan de Barra & Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and adapted from The Witcher book series by Andrzej Sapkowski. The show will follow Geralt of Rivia, a Witcher who seeks to rescue his adoptive daughter Ciri from the Wild Hunt and Geralt’s old friend Yennefer. A release date has yet to be set but Lauren Schmidt Hissrich confirmed that they are aiming. Furthermore, Lauren confirmed that there will not be a season 3 at this time and the story is complete with just two seasons but in the future, she would love to come back and tell more stories in this world. The story is based on two books from the series The Last Wish and The Sword of Destiny.
