THE PLOT:
The story follows Jotaro, the son of Joseph Joestar, in his quest to save Morioh from a new threat. The antagonist is called Yoshikage Kira, who has the power of hypnosis and can control people’s actions by planting commands into their minds. He is assisted by another Stand user named Kosaku Kawajiri. Kira has the ability to hypnotize people by planting commands into their minds and control them as he sees fit. This power is enhanced with Kosaku Kawajiri’s Stand, named Killer Queen.
One thing to note is that in the game’s story mode, players can select either Jotaro or Kosaku as their playable characters. The player also has access to a selection of different Stands for both characters, but only one may be used at any given time during gameplay. Jotaro wields a Stand with the power to stop time.

FILMING:
The series will use a new style of animation called Super Live Action, which has been used in the stand-alone animation Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Over Heaven. The anime is created under director Hirohiko Araki and directed by Naokatsu Tsuda, with Yasuko Kobayashi acting as assistant director. The anime is being animated by David Production and will run for 37 episodes.

EXPECTATIONS:
The anime has been highly anticipated by fans since its announcement at the end of the 2012 TV anime. The show has been met with a generally positive response from critics: main points of compliment concern the vibrant visuals, energetic pacing, and thrilling action sequences. The first episode was rated highly by Kotaku’s Richard Eisenbeis, who praised it for “doing everything right.”
