Riverdale is A TV show that was first released on the streaming program CW. It premiered on January 26, 2019, and has been renewed for a sixth season. Created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and based on Archie Comics, the show follows the life of Jughead Jones as he navigates living in a small town with his friends who all have sinister secrets. Alongside him are Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, Josie McCoy, Ethel Muggs, Reggie Mantle, and Kevin Keller; each one has their own baggage they’ve had to deal with since childhood that continues to affect them now.

FILMING:
The filming for the show takes place in California, Vancouver, and Canada. The show is filmed at Warner Bros Studios and Vancouver Film School in British Columbia, Canada; New York City, and Los Angeles. Season three started filming in April 2019 and is scheduled to premiere on October 09, 2022.

THE PLOT:
The plot focuses on how these characters interact with each other when there is an ongoing murder plot that is affecting them all. It has been confirmed by producers and cast members alike, including the showrunner, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, that this season would be a “semi-retelling” of Season One Archie comics which are set in high school.
The story begins on October 22nd with a new student, Ben Button coming to Riverdale from California and instantly making a bad first impression on his classmates. Archie Andrews is falsely accused of murder after a shooting at Pop’s Chock’lit Shoppe.
The show primarily revolves around four teenagers who are also friends and members of the Riverdale High School’s student body, Archie Andrews, Veronica Lodge, Jughead Jones; Betty Cooper. They deal with typical teenage issues such as romance and friendship while living in a small town where everyone knows everyone and has their own secrets.

The cast is largely the same from Season One, with a few exceptions.

The show has received mixed reviews with critics praising the series for its production value but criticizing it for having a slow pace. Season One: Rotten Tomatoes 85%. Season Two: 78.0% (18/24). Amazon – 79% of people who rated it on Amazon gave it a five-star rating. The PLOT of Riverdale is a town that has hidden secrets, and it follows their lives after knowing these dark truths.
WHAT CAN THE AUDIENCE EXPECT?
The season will most likely continue to follow Archie and his friends as they find themselves in trouble yet again after turning their backs on one of their own. There’s been no official synopsis for Season Six but there are rumors that the show will introduce Sabrina, The Teenage Witch. Season Six will be the final season for the show! It’s unclear how many episodes there are in the sixth season but according to IMDB, we can expect 12 new ones which means they are giving it a final send-off.
One of the show’s most beloved characters might be returning to Riverdale! Mark Pert will return as Archie’s dad Fred Andrews for Season Six and Joseph Moreno is said to have closed a deal with Warner Brothers.
